Enjoy! |
FEBRUARYThis month Christopher and Mom made Valentine's cards. Christopher is becoming very artistic, and his vocabulary has increased significantly. He is also becoming more interested in Kayla, and enjoys giving her kisses. We had a visit from Annie Grannie, which we all enjoyed (even if Dad did have to work a lot). Kayla is smiling at people now (especially Christopher) and her baby acne is starting to clear up (which Mom is very happy about). To see more pictures from February, click here. |

MARCHKayla is now reaching for objects and cooing a little bit. She seems to be more of a people person than Christopher at this age. Christopher likes identifying Kayla's mouth, and her "soft head". Lately he has been sticking his finger in her mouth when he says "mouff", which Kayla loves, but Mom and Dad aren't too crazy about. He is very gentle though. In the middle of the month Teresa and Tracey visited, the kids had a great time. For more pictures from March, click here. |

APRILApril was a busy month, for more pictures click here. Kayla has been rolling from her back to her stomach, and she loves to bat at things. Christopher is still very sweet to her when he pays attention to her, she seems to be in the same exalted category as the neighbor's cat for now. Christopher really enjoyed Easter this year, he seems to have some vague concept of "the Easter Bunny". We colored eggs and hunted for baskets. for more Easter pictures, click here. We took our first family vacation (as a family of four) this month. We drove north about 100 miles to Rusk, where we road a real Steam Train. Christopher loved the whole ride (two hours each way), although he was a little skittish at first (the Locomotive made a lot more noise than the one in the museum). He wanted to go again, but Mom and Dad were too tired. For more pictures of our train adventure, click here. |

MAYAunt Julia came for a visit in May, before the REAL heat and humidity hit. Of course we dragged her to one of Christopher's favorite spots, the Galveston Railroad Museum. Christopher continues to add to his vocabulary, although he has quite a strong "accent". Kayla started eating solid food this month, she likes it, but not quite as well as Christopher did. She enjoys playing on her stomach, now that she can lift her head up. She and Christopher continue to get along well, probably because she still isn't mobile. For more May pictures, click here. |

JUNEGrandma Christmas and Chassidy came for a visit in June, and brought over 30 inches of rain (just kidding). While Dad was slaving away, Christopher and the girls had a lot of fun sightseeing and shopping, at least until it started RAINING. Mom was on a mission this month, she weened Kayla of the breast, and Christopher of the pacifier. Both processes were surprisingly painless. Christopher really liked playing with Chassidy, and was quite sad when she had to go (he liked watching Chassidy and Grandmas' airplane taxi away and take off though). Kayla is now sitting up unassisted, and she has two teeth. Christopher can now say his name, and count to ten all by himself. For more June pictures, click here. |

JULYIn July we went for our first REALLY LONG family car trip. We drove all the way to Indiana. Christopher and Kayla really enjoyed playing with all their cousins. You can see more pictures of our Indiana visit by clicking here. Kayla started crawling this month, which has caused Christopher some frustration. He no longer has complete control of what toys she plays with. Christopher is slowly learning about sharing, but his favorite phrase seems to be "Mom, Dad, Get Kayla!"
